A man threw acid at a woman over a domestic issue in Qasirabad area on Tuesday. According to police sources, Kalsoom Bibi’s husband Attaullah wanted to contract a second marriage with Shaista that resulted in a quarrel between both the women. The quarrel took a violent turn when Shaista’s brother, Abdul Rauf allegedly threw acid at Kalsoom’s face, critically injuring her. The accused managed to flee. The victim was shifted to Nishter Hospital for treatment where the doctor said her eyes and face had been burnt.
