‘SLIT THIER THROAT!’

Calling for a death sentence for both the director and Pastor Terry Jones who supported him, Jamaat-ud-Dawa held a massive rally against a blasphemous movie made by a US director. The participants were carrying placards, sticks, swords and guns and chanted slogans against the US, India and Israel and held a walk from Neela Gumbad to Masjid-e-Shuhada. A large contingent of police and Jamaat-ud-Dawa volunteers provided security to the participants. The procession was led by Jamaat-ud-Dawa Chief Hafiz Saeed, Hafiz Abdul Rahman Makki, Ameer Hamza, Qari Yaqoob Sheikh and others.
While addressing the participants, Saeed said everyone from the director to the one who uploaded it should be hanged till death and laws should be made against any and everybody who tried to blaspheme against any prophet anywhere in the world.
“Passing a resolution is the weakest form of protest. The US ambassador should be expelled from the country,” Saeed said, adding “OIC should hold a meeting and the US should be boycotted economically and socially and all the contracts made with the US should be annulled.” He said blaspheming against the Holy Quran and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was the greatest terrorism and if such activities continue, the Muslims would choose the path of Jihad and annihilate anyone who partakes in any such activity.
“The US has killed millions of Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan and thousands have died in the drone strikes. The time has come for the decisions to be made in the battleground,” he said, adding that JuD would contact all political parties to launch a movement against blasphemy.
“Millions are asking of the government to play its role and if the government does not shoulder this responsibility, the emotions of muslims will boil over and US consulates will not be able to function and agents like Raymond Davis will not exist,” he said, adding that the Indian army regularly committed blasphemy against the Holy Quran and were killing unarmed Muslims. He said walks, protests, conferences and rallies would be held all over the country till the government did not wake up to its responsibility.
“Hilary Clinton lies when she says that the director made the movie on his own freewill. Such elements are fully backed by the US government,” he added.
Other speakers said that the country was rich in resources but the government was still relying on the US for its survival. They warned that if the government did not send the US consulate back to the US, a long march would be held towards Islamabad.
They said that history was witness to the fact that all blasphemers had been killed and the same fate was destined for the makers and supporters of the said movie.
They said the US was moving towards initiating towards a war and Muslims would not back down. They said the Muslims respected all prophets and had never made fun of any of the revealed religions so why was it that their sentiment were being hurt by such actions. They added that they were ready to sacrifice their lives to preserve the sanctity of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and they would not spare any effort in forcing the government to take action.
Time has come for the decisions to be made in
the battleground.”
