I just read news in your last day’s issue that Katrina Kaif who was asked to perform in Pakistan has rejected the offer of Dh 1.65 millions. Are our Pakistani people so fond of these Indian actresses that they offer huge amount of money just for one show? Are there no good looking actresses/models available in Pakistan to do the same for our public?
It is high time that the government had a check on these frivolous expenses through the FBR, especially when more than 30 percent of our people are living below the poverty line. It is also recommended that the Indian movies should no more be allowed for exhibition in our cinema halls as they are vulgar and are spoiling our youth. Instead of spending such uncalled for foreign exchange, we should be encouraging our own movies and improve their quality. Alternatively, for the sake of healthy competition, our Censor Board should give NOC for any such import and that too only on barter basis.
