Additional Secretary Technical Health Dr Anwar Janjua presided over a meeting of the Provincial Quality Control Board on Tuesday and gave approval for legal action in 16 cases of substandard medicines. The meeting considered 35 cases of sub-standard and spurious medicines and decided to give approval for legal action in 16 cases and registration of a First Information Report (FIR) in four cases. Dr Janjua directed officials concerned to investigate 15 cases regarding which action would be taken later on.
