A man in Nazimabad area of Gujjar Pura was shot injured by three robbers, one of whom was later killed by the people present nearby, City42 reported on Wednesday.
Per details, Waheed Bhatti, 30, was returning to his house when three robbers stopped and tried to rob him. On resistance, the miscreants opened fire and injured him. Waheed was rushed to the Mayo hospital, where his situation was reportedly out of danger.
While escaping, area people caught two of the robbers, one of whom was later on beaten to death by the angry public.
The channel reported further that in another incident, a most wanted criminal was busted by police from Ghalib Market.
According to the report, the police, acting on a tip-off, raided in the area of Ghalib Market where two robbers opened fire on them.
In retaliation, police killed one of them named Naveed and arrested the other, Raheel.
Police said that Raheel was involved in many robbery cases in the city and was on the most wanted list.
In yet another incident, police arrested two robbers from Gulberg and recovered 2 pistols, gold and Rs 200,000 cash from their possession.
