Planned research affects socio-economic aspects, says VC

Strategically planned research does have positive impact on socio economic aspects of the lives of the people as well as on the physical environment.
`Outcome and findings of the research can be achieved through presentations at scientific and professional conferences and meetings, publishing research and professional journals and magazines’, said Vice-Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), Prof. Dr Javed Hassan Rizvi, while chairing a meeting with the Ph.D. faculty of the university.
Reviewing SSUET’s research development activities, he was of the view that research activity enhances quality of education and such an approach can be of immense benefit for the career of PhD students. `It is imperative for the university to conduct research and explore possibilities for utilization of innovative research for industry development’, he emphasized
