Our war

After the assault on the Pakistan Air Force Base in Kamra by the TTP, is any further evidence needed to establish that the Pakistani state is at war with the TTP who want to impose their narrow vision of Islam in Pakistan through the use of force and terror.
I do not understand why the PTI Chairman and PML-N leaders still have a soft corner for the TTP when they don’t believe in democracy and elections? Don’t these parties know so well that the army establishment has been making foreign and domestic security policy for the country since Zia-ul-Haq’s era?
When Chief of Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani told the nation that the war against the TTP is our war and not an American war, is there any other person in a better position than him or with more knowledge about the country’s security under threat?
Any Pakistani with even a little common sense knows that those militants who were patronized by the army establishment to fight against Pakistan’s foreign enemies have turned their guns against the Pakistan forces and the people.
Why do religious political parties JI, JUI and DCP militant apologists continue accusing the US to be the mastermind of the attack on the air force and army installations when the TTP spokesman owned and praised the terrorist attacks.
The matter of fact is that the Pakistani religious parties after failing to win the support of the people by vote and such apologism is merely an attempt to woo the far right-wing vote.
The Pakistan army has already shown restraint for far too long now – it is not a wise decision to wait further and care for those who never want to see Pakistan as envisioned by the great Quaid. The army must step up and save Pakistan before it is too late.
