My first question to multiple private TV channels is as to why they bring Faisal Abidi in talk shows. Faisal has no background in country politics not does he have any education to give some novel ideas. He is some kind of growth in current regime brought up and trained in Presidency and lately ousted from there. Abidi does not know how to talk decently. His language is deplorable and his manners are far below the lowest acceptable standards. He uses detestable phrases for the honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan for some personal reason or reasons.
He is no one in the country to pass judgements over the issues of law and order and above all on the performance of CJP. Does he know how a man attains that position? Is Abidi a planted PPP man like his predecessor Zulfiqar Mirza? Do private TV channels get extra buck from Swiss accounts to bring him to talk shows? He is making best efforts to copy ZAB but no one has told him that ZAB was intelligent, educated and perceptive. But ZAB too could not carry for long with open cuffs and throwing mics off the rostrum.
Whatever it is, the TV channels must take care of the viewers like families and ladies and children who are watching TV more in Ramadhan for educative programmes. I implore PEMRA to ban Abidi’s shows like he has been debarred from Presidency (so did I hear?). Abidi should be sent to some mental asylum for shock treatment. He looks insane and mentally disordered. At least his body language on TV clearly shows that. I am sure President Zardari will finance his medical bill in lieu of his services in Presidency. In any case, charity is Ramadan is multiplied by 70 and who would know multiplication better than Zardari Sahib? But somehow save us from his shows in the last days of Ramadan, at least.
