Youm-e-Ali to be marked today

The martyrdom anniversary of fourth Khalifah of Islam Amirul Momineen Hazrat Ali (AS) would be observed across the country on Friday (today) with religious spirit, reverence and fervour.
Special prayers would also be offered for an end to the problems and difficulties faced by the Islamic world. The government has made elaborate security arrangements to protect the majalis and mourning processions. Seminars, conferences and majalis would also be held in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad to highlight the life and achievements of Hazrat Ali (AS).
Al-Hussain Trust and Markazi Imam Hussain Council have chalked out a comprehensive programme to observe the death anniversary of Hazrat Ali (AS).
Radio and TV channels would broadcast special programmes for highlighting the services of Hazrat Ali for the cause of Islam and welfare of Ummah, while the newspapers would bring out special articles in this regard.
Marking the occasion, various Majalis-e-Aza and Taboot processions would be taken out from all the cities and towns of all the four provinces including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
