I earnestly appeal to the President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Asharaf to save the precious life of a legend of Sindh, Shamsherul Haidri – philosopher, intellectual, scholar, writer, poet, drama writer, the first news-caster of Sindhi TV bulletin, disciple of Great Sindhi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai – who has been admitted to Aga Khan Hospital, Karachi and is suffering from bone cancer. He is in a precarious condition with no visible improvement and he is fighting for his life.
No doubt, he was an asset of Sindhi literature and we must take measures to help him out in this difficult time.
I appeal to the president and prime minister to send Shamsherul Haidri abroad for treatment without wasting further time.
