Civil Defence staff foiled a terrorism bid and defused 2 pound bomb planted in oil tanker in the city area of Layyah on Tuesday.
As per details, Oil Tank Driver Abdul Rehman saw a bomb was planted in his Oil tanker He informed the Civil Defence staff who reached the spot and defused the bomb.
The staff claimed that it was time bomb of 2 pound and could explode if any effort was made to dismantle it.
The tank was loaded with 40000-liter diesel and if bomb had exploded it would have led to a massive destruction.
Police arrested tank driver Abdul Rehman and conductor Sana Ullah for further interrogation.
