The enthusiasm and interest begins to grow among youth and children as the date 14th August, the Independence Day of Pakistan, comes closer. The business of making national flags and the trend of hoisting these flags on the roofs, roads and streets is a common practice these days.
However, we as a nation have forgotten the actual motto behind the creation of Pakistan which was solely and unquestionably the implementation of Islamic laws and establishing a true Islamic state in this part of land, for which hundreds of thousands of immigrants gave their lives. In order to make it worthy, we ought to initiate some rational and practical steps instead of waving and decorating the houses with flags. Posting greeting messages on Facebook and Twitter surely won’t do anything for us.
