The Islamabad police have arrested seven outlaws, including an alleged killer, and recovered three 30-bore pistols, liquor and stolen items, a police spokesman said on Saturday. According to details, Tarnol police arrested Rashid Mehmud who killed Sajid after snatching a cab from him. Rashid Mehmud hired the cab and then murdered its driver Sajid with the help of his accomplice Haroon Rashid. A special police team, headed by Sub Inspector Muhammad Idrees, arrested them. Both the accused are being interrogated. Kohsar station arrested Ashfaq Ahmed for having a 30-bore pistol. Ramna police arrested two women thieves, identified as Sonia and Salma, and recovered stolen items worth thousands of rupees from them. Sabzi Mandi police nabbed Shah Faraz for keeping a 30-bore pistol while Shehzad Town police apprehended Ashraf for possessing liquor. Aabpara police arrested Umer for possessing a 30-bore pistol while ASI Muhammad Hanif nabbed a drunkard Yaqub. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
