Massive blackouts continued throughout the country with shortfall reaching 5,000 megawatts on Monday.
According to details, the consumption of electricity has increased to 18,600 megawatts due to the excessive use of air conditioners whereas the production of electricity is not more than 13,300 megawatts due to the insufficient supply of fuel and gas leaving 5,000 megawatts supply and demand gap.
According to National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC) officials, construction of Muzaffargarh transmission system is in last stages while electricity will soon be generated through Lalpir Thermal Power Plant.
The officials said that the load-shedding hours will be decreased by Tuesday.
Meanwhile, protests were staged in different parts of the country against prolonged and unannounced cuts.
Enraged protesters rampaged in various parts of the country against massive blackouts during Sehr and Iftar timings.
Government seems helpless to provide relief to the masses during the Ramazan. Despite all claims, it is becoming impossible for the authorities to implement government’s orders to end unscheduled loadshedding across the country.

  2. It wouldn't even matter if Mr. Presidente had full 24 hr load shedding. They have massive industrial generators ready to go which guzzle petrol like none other & they care? Not in the slightest.

Zardari doesn't care about the people or the country, why would he care about electricity?

Finally a prayer: Death to Jiyalas. Cruel death.
