The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will review the audit reports and implementation status of previous PAC directives for financial years 1996-97, 1999-2000, 2000-01, 2005-06 and 2008-09 regarding ministries/divisions/departments from July 30 to August 9.
The PAC will review the audit paras of Ministry of Privatisation, Establishment Division, Election Commission of Pakistan, Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, Cabinet Division, (CDA grants/paras), National Accountability Bureau, Ministry of Production, Ministry of National Foods, Security and Research, Federal Board of Revenue, Finance Division, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Water and Power.
Official sources said that on the directives of PAC Chairman Nadeem Afzal Gondal and Secretary Roomana Kakar had issued letters to the departments regarding the committee’s meeting.
According to the schedule, the PAC will consider deferred paras/printed paras for different financial years of the Ministry of Privatisation, Establishment Division, Election Commission of Pakistan, Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan on July 31.
Similarly, the PAC would consider deferred paras/printed paras of Cabinet Division (CDA grants/paras) on July 31.
The principal accounts officers (PAOs) have been asked to ensure holding of the departmental accounts committee meetings before the meetings of the PAC. The PAOs are directed to bring lists of previous PAC directives and its implementation status in the paras.
