Federal Law Minister Farooq H Naek said on Saturday that measures taken by president, premier and ministers could not be challenged as they have constitutional protection under article 242.
Talking to media representatives at Sindh High Court, he said it was not mentioned in the contempt of court ordinance that the judicial judgments would not be implemented on the president and prime minister.
The government had respect for the judiciary and did not want to reduce its authorities, he said adding that a situation was being created that the judiciary had stood against the Pakistan People’s Party; it was the responsibilities of the judiciary to omit that image, he observed.
