Federal Law Minister Farooq H Naek said on Saturday that measures taken by president, premier and ministers could not be challenged as they have constitutional protection under article 242.
Talking to media representatives at Sindh High Court, he said it was not mentioned in the contempt of court ordinance that the judicial judgments would not be implemented on the president and prime minister.
The government had respect for the judiciary and did not want to reduce its authorities, he said adding that a situation was being created that the judiciary had stood against the Pakistan People’s Party; it was the responsibilities of the judiciary to omit that image, he observed.

  1. This guy is the King Clown in the current government. I remember him from the time when PPP & PML-N were trying to reach an agreement on Mush. The CJP is the ONLY authority to decide how things will run in this country as these guys have lost ALL credibility.

  2. @Zafar, What nonsense are u talking about? " CJP is the ONLY authority to decide how things will run in this country as these guys have lost ALL credibility. " Are u in ur senses? Running govt business is the job of govt for which they hv experience, and not of judges who hv neither experience nor training and hv no mechanism at their disposal to run a state. Their job is to give decisions in the light of constitution prepared by parliament.

  3. @Zafar,"CJP is the ONLY authority to decide how things will run in this country as these guys have lost ALL credibility. " Are u in ur senses. Running a country is the job of govt not CJ

    • r u kidding dear kamil?? who is running the country..??they are just destroyng the country..for GOD's sake yar..be rational and be sicere to ur country..cj is doing the right thing..

  4. Pakistan’s constitution provides protection to the official decisions of President, PM, judges, cabinit and parliament. This does not mean that they are above the law. No one is above the law as per constitution. An absolutely wrong impression is being created by the PCO judges. If no one is above the law then all judges who validated musharaf’s coup and PCO (including Iftikhar ch.) should be tried for high treason as per the constitution and Imran Khan should be tried for adultery as per Hadood law. Will they offer themselves to the law? Off course not.
Those who are talking about Islam should remember that in Islamic states the head of state has absolute authority over all state functions including judiciary. It is Khalifa who has unchallenged authority to appoint and fire generals and judges. will self proclaimed Islamists accept the same absolute authority in the hand of elected head of the state? Are you ready to do bai’t on the hand of mr. Zardari or be ready to get executed? Remember as per Quran the rulers are appointed by Allah and absolute obedience of tge ruler (ol-al-amar) is mandatory.

  5. I don't like this man's wig. With all the corruption money he makes, he should spend some on a better wig. If every party that comes into power starts making laws to protect their own leadership, what will happen to the country?
