The management of the Lahore Development Authority bifurcated the Directorate of Estate Management (DEM) into two directorates, the Directorate of Estate Management-I and II for improving its functioning and ensuring quick response to public applications. According to orders of LDA Director General Ahad Khan Cheema, offices of both directorates would be set up at LDA office building Johar Town.
Directorate of Estate Management-I, the LDA will look after the affairs of 23 schemes including MA Johar Town, Faisal Town, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Model Town Extension, Mustafa Town, Nawab Town, Old Rifle Range, Samanabad, 21-Acre Scheme, Punch Road Scheme, Multan Road Street Scheme, Islamia Park, Fazlia Colony, Arya Nagar, Sanda Homes, Data Nagar, Domoria Pul, Grain Market ,Patiyala Waqeel Khana, Timber Market, Kapoor Thalla House, Faisal Town Houses/Flats, and Fruit and Vegetable Market Ravi Road.
It would also be responsible for auction of plots and petrol pump sites in all LDA Schemes, Venus Housing Society, public utility sites falling in above schemes and private housing schemes besides taking care of rented/leased properties falling in above schemes. The Directorate of Estate Management-II, LDA will control 34 schemes including Shadbagh, Montogomary Road, Railway Station, Gulberg, Mohlanwal Scheme, Allama Iqbal Town, New Garden Town, Sabzazar, Shadman, Chauburji Scheme, Qila Lachman Singh, Shahalam Gate Scheme (along with old schemes inside old city), Tajpura, Ghari Shahu, Gujjar Pura, Begumpura, Kashmir Egerton Road , Tollinton Market, Shah Jamal, Kabari Market, Saint Marry Park, Mall, Muslim Town, Packages Area Quarters, Lawrence Road Flats, Rajgarh, Badamibagh, Shahalami, Shahdarah Bus Terminal, Walton Road, Match Factory, D-Point Car Parking Plaza, and Fruit and Vegetable Market Allama Iqbal Town & Ferozpur Road.
