There is no space in restaurants and hotels of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi owing to advance reservations for Ramadan Iftar parties.
Local hotel managers, while talking to APP, said people prefer to enjoy Iftar parties with their friends, colleagues and families. That’s why different hotels come with new special Iftar offers in Ramadan. “We are busy in advance bookings on the basis of first come first served,” a manager said. A customer, Jaffer Abbas, complained that the restaurants overcharge in Ramadan and said that the authorities concerned should make proper arrangements to control quality of food and prices during the holy month of Ramadan. Regarding reservation of Iftar parties, the officials of restaurants claimed that they offer special buffet packages for Ramadan to facilitate people with delicacies in Iftar.
