Our Prime Minister is reported to have said that politicians can make impossible possible. The acid test for this claim is to resurrect Kalabagh dam from the burial ground. If he can make Kalabagh dam possible from an impossible situation, one would believe in the prime minister’s claim. Otherwise, it would amount to a ring of smoke spoken in thin air. The PM is responsible for pushing the country into a dark age of load shedding as bitter fruit of his tenure as minister of water and power. It now behoves him to stand firm on his slogan of politicians making impossible possible. If he can deliver on Kalabagh dam his party would be ensured another tenure. Otherwise, all the false promises that are made in bad faith would trounce Pakistan Peoples Party in the next election.

I wonder people like Khurshid Anwer and Muhammad Yaqoob Bhatti both from Lahore are continuously trying to misguide the readers on water issue by creating hatred against people of Sindh. If water is available in excess for construction of notorious and controversial Kalabagh dam in Punjab, then why limited water as agreed in Water Accord – 1991 has not been released after passing 22 years. May be ruining Indus delta in Sindh. Punjab is stealing Sindh's share of water daringly for the last one and half century.
