The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), on Tuesday, issued notification of the successful candidates Rehman Malik as Senator while Abdul Qadir Gillani as the Member National Assembly.
As per the notification of the ECP, Abdul Qadir Gillani contested election from the constituency of NA-151 Multan and was declared as successful.
He contested election in vacated seat of his father former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and defeated the contestant of Tehrik-i-Insaf, N league, and Jamiat Islami.
The seat was vacated after the disqualification of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani in NRO case from Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, Rehman Malik reelected as Senator from Karachi seat, earlier as he had resigned in dual nationality case.
Rehman Malik is like a bad smell-he just wont go away. Gilani like Malik is crooked as the day is long. PPP are the party of the crooks.
