Three children including two gypsies were drowned into Mirwah Canal here on Saturday. As per details, some gypsy families were busy in making baskets for dates on the bank of Mirwaha Canal. A family belonging to Ahmadpur was busy in making baskets for putting dates near Burgari Regulator. While playing, two children, Faraz, 6, and Karishma, 8, drowned into the canal. The bereaved family claimed that when Faraz was drowning into the canal, his sister Karishma jumped into canal for saving his brother. The rescue teams reached the spot and started search for dead bodies and they found one body of the boy. The operation is still continued for recovery of other dead bodies. Meanwhile, two years old Saira also drowned in Mirwah Canal near Garahi Bridge in the limits of B-Section Police Station. The rescue team recovered the dead body and handed it over to her family. The deceased two year girl was resident of Rohary.
