Four killed in road mishaps

KARACHI Four people were killed in road accidents in the city on Monday. Two men were killed in a road mishap in Keamari within the limits of the Jackson police station on Monday. Police said that the two men, Mohammad Saeed, 25, and Naveed Anjum, 20, were on their way on a motorcycle when a truck bearing registration number PNQ 303 hit them near the Ziauddin Hospital.
Saeed was died on the spot and Naveed succumbed to his injuries at the Civil Hospital Karachi. The police have arrested the truck driver, Mohammad Usman and impounded the vehicle. Separately, a woman was killed when a truck bearing registration number TKX-190 hit her near Shershah Bridge as she was crossing the road. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities.
