The National Testing Service (NTS), which is an authorised institution by the government of Pakistan to conduct NAT, GAT and other examinations for admission in various universities, recruitments and scholarships by Higher Education Commission (HEC), has shown very poor performance since its establishment.
The fee structure is inappropriate and the fee for each test is so high that it is hardly affordable for students seeking admission in the Masters, M Phil and PhD programmes. There is only one test center in the Cantt area of Lahore for GAT. Is that one centre convenient for the students who come from far-flung areas like Wahga and Shadara?
NTS does not provide the participants with basic facilities such as water, electricity and washrooms at test centers.
The schedule of advertisement in newspapers, test day and result declaration date is mentioned on its website but the result is not posted on its website on the published date. One more problem that irks the candidates is that its helpline numbers either do not respond or are always on busy mode.
After the test day, students don’t have any
way to contact the NTS for queries due to the
non-availability of functional helplines or email addresses. The NTS should be more efficient in facilitating the test participants because they pay
a heavy amount in fees.
NTS is earning profit and made itself a white elephant….HEC people are also part of the great game…they also appear on every test and share amount of the poor people as invigilation fee…whole system is designed to fool the middle class people as poor are without access and upper class don't need that.
