It is really sad to know that in the 21st century we have people in the country who are opposing polio eradication programs of the government despite the fact that Pakistan is one of the three polio-endemic countries in the world. Needless to say, polio is more devastating than any other disease for children as it makes them not only paralyze to live their whole life with but also let their families share their sufferings.
It is surely a very important responsibility of parents not to let their children suffer, and must think logically that polio eradication campaign is not part of the war Pakistan is forced to reckon with.
We need to provide our children with safe and healthy future which is not possible unless polio is completely eradicated from Pakistan. And for that we should support the government in its efforts, and must not create illogical fuss to put the lives of our children at stake.
