Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA Muhammad Afzal Sindhu has left his party to join Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaaf (PTI). According to PTI sources, he was concerned about certain policies and attitude of the party leadership.
Afzal, who won a National Assembly seat from NA-191 Bahawalnagar, had served as federal law minister and state minister for railways during his political career. According to sources, he took this decision during a meeting with PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Lahore. PTI Information Secretary Shafqat Mehmood confirmed the news, saying that Imran Khan has given approval for Sindu’s inclusion in the party. The lawmaker would make a formal announcement soon.
