A two-day conference on “Quality treatment and future of drug addicts” will be held in the second week of September under the auspices of Youth Council for Anti-Narcotics.
This was stated by consultant, anti-narcotics campaign and YOCFAN Chairman Zulfiqar Hussain while visiting different private treatment centres with Malik Javed Iqbal, Secretary YOCFAN, on Sunday.
Project Director Dr Shahbaz Khokar informed them about treatment facilities being provided to drug addicts.
Zulfiqar said a number of treatment centres were working in the province where no qualified doctors and psychologists were attending the patients.
Besides, he said, ten patients were under treatment in a single room and quality of their treatment programme was substandard.
