Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that loadshedding has hurt the country more than terrorism.
Addressing the officials of various provincial departments at Minar-e-Pakistan tent officer here on Monday, Shahbaz Sharif said that though terrorism affected the countrymen but energy crisis has deprived millions of people of their jobs forcing them to indulge in criminal activities.
“Loadshedding is also a major cause of surge in terrorism and other crimes, ” he said.
Shahbaz said he would also have raised voice if discriminatory attitude in power supply was adopted with any province other than Punjab.
The chief minister said that by establishing tent office at Minar-e-Pakistan he has tried to jolt the consciences of the federal government which is busy in enjoying the privileges and giving considerations to personal and party interests.
Shahbaz urged the officials of provincial departments to minimize the non-development expenditures and spend the saved money for welfare of common man who was in grip of multifaceted crises due to poverty, unemployment, energy crisis and uncertain law and order situation.

  1. An office tent, you are only impressing the average idiot follower.Where do you sleep at night,oh yeah, thats right,in your nice comfortable air conditioned home which by the way is paid for by the very people who voted for your a$$,who will sleep in darkness and heat.I wanted to ask the same question too but Anon beat me to it.These guys are only good at one thing, screaming and blaming others while they do absolutely nothing. You people make me sick to my stomach

  2. But what have you done to add a single megawatt in Punjab? You and your brother shelved all energy projects in the pipeline when you came to power in 1997 with a manipulated two-thirds majority. The reason you gave was corruption and that high rates of electricity were negotiated with the IPPs. But then, did you brothers provide cheaper electricity? The answer is a BIG NO. You two brothers are basically responsible for the present mess. Why don't you order your dual pco judge iftikhar to form a commission to investigate the roots of present electricity crisis? By the way, the people of Multan will give their verdict on dual pco judge's judgement and your governance in Punjab in the bye-election due on 19th.

  3. You and ur big brother Nawaz Sharif are responsible for power crisis because ur govt in 1997 rescinded all electricity generation project agreement done by BB govt on the pretext that now there is enough electricity in Pakistan, and you also cancelled TharCoalPower Project 5000MW signed by Benazir government.
