Cheques distributed among poor and needy

Chief Coordinator of the Prime Minster’s Secretariat Grievances Wing Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani here on Saturday distributed cheques of financial assistance among the poor and needy persons on behalf of Prime Minster Raja Pervez Ashraf.
It was pointed out that the petitioners had submitted applications to the Prime Minster for financial assistance on the ground of acute poverty.
The Prime Minister approved certain amounts of financial assistance and directed the Chief Coordinator to deliver cheques to the needy persons at their doorsteps.
Upon the directive of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani presented cheques to the following persons.
1. Rs. 50,000 to Abdul Wahab Soomro, son of Abdullah Soomro, resident of Bhatti Abad, District, Karachi. His daughter is a patient of bone cancer and her treatment is underway at Children Cancer Hospital Karachi.
2. Rs. 30,000 to Abdul Aziz, resident of House No.9, Block No. 50, Sector 11-D, District, Karachi. He is a die hard party worker and was attacked by political opponents and received severe injuries. He needs treatment abroad.
3. Rs. 25,000 to Muhammad Gulzar Nasim, son of Tufail Muhammad, resident of Quarter No.H-7, Near Doctors Mess, JPMC, Karachi. His petition forwarded by the Government of Sindh.
4. Rs. 20,000 to Ayyaz Ahmed, son of Muhammad Ismail, resident of House No. 1504, Block-D Noorabad Mohallah, Gulshan Ghazi, Baldia Town, PO, Saeedabad, District Karachi. Petitioner is disabled.
5. Rs. 30,000 to Muhammad Ilyas son of Abdul Hakeen, resident of House No.S/A- 24, Gali/Mohallah Block No.5 Administration Society Nazim-ud-Din, District Karachi. He has no regular source of income. Therefore requested for financial assistance.
6. Rs. 100,000 to Mst. Munira Rauf wife of Abdul Rauf, resident of F.No.404-C, Building Aysia Nagar Apartment, C Haribabad, District Karachi. The petitioner has six daughters and needs financial assistance for marriage of her daughters.
7. Rs. 25,000 to Naveed Khan son of Khurshid Khan, resident of Karachi. Suffering from acute poverty and has no source of income.
Polio vaccination drive from 16th: Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Agha Shahnawaz Babar has called upon the officers of all the departments concerned to find out reasons of their failure in rooting out polio despite launching of numerous polio eradication campaigns in the district. There is a need of sincere efforts for preparation of a comprehensive strategy for permanent eradication of polio diseased from Hyderabad, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized this while presiding over a meeting here the other day regarding arrangements of three days polio eradication campaign to be started from July 16, 2012 in all four talukas of Hyderabad district.
