Khadmin-e-Millat Pakistan (KMP), a local social welfare organization suggested issuance of “Utility Consumer Cards” to the general public aiming at multiple benefits.
KMP’s Secretary General Saghir Ali Siddiqui in a press release said that the card would help in the record of items sold on daily basis and also protect the rights of the consumer.
He also suggested that sale without card be stopped as it would help check misuse of subsized items.
KMP also appealed to the quarters concerned for establishing Utility Store at the level of each municipal unit, that is, Councillor.
He also asked for making all items available at a rate 20 per cent less than the rates in open market.
