It is the only country where lawyers shower rose petals on the killer of a provincial governor, whereas a former chief justice of high court obtains a stay order on the execution of the killer.
It is the only country where a judge has to leave the country alongside his family for giving death sentence to the self-confessed killer who is a hero for the religious zealots.
It is the only country where lawyers, legislators and judges are themselves not obedient to the law.
It is the only country where the CJ of the Supreme Court is ignorant of his son’s activities and pleads ignorance regarding his son’s misdemeanour. The son, on the other hand, pleads innocent in the face of overwhelming evidence for his involvement in bribery.
It is the only country where a property tycoon pays a humongous amount of money to ‘buy’ the CJ and win the support of the media personnel and spokespersons.
It is the only country where media owners and employees both lack professional integrity.
It is the only country where might is right and money can buy honesty.
