Lawyers expressed solidarity with Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and staged a protest against Malik Riaz’s allegations here on Saturday.
The protesting lawyers also burnt effigies of some politicians and important figures.
The lawyers observed complete boycott of their normal duties and gathered at Kachahri Chowk.
They chanted slogans in favor of CJP and against Malik Riaz.
The lawyers said that they would foil every conspiracy against independent judiciary.
Lawyers and civil society again needs to come out in support of SC to thawrt further attempts to pressurize the judiciary.
