The Pakistan Muslim League-Likeminded organised a ‘Save Judiciary’ rally on Wednesday, against the ongoing conspiracies of the higher officials to harm the reputation of the independent judiciary.
PML- Likeminded provincial Information Secretary Muhammad Asif led the rally as a show of respect for the judiciary, starting from Multan Road to the Chober Gee Chowk.
Speaking on the occasion, Asif said big names were displeased by the independent verdicts passed by the apex court and were supporting Malik Riaz in strategising his plans. The Pakistani nation gave sacrifices for the restoration of the judiciary and they were ready to sacrifice their lives if the judiciary was at stake, he stated.
Members of civil society, former nazims, including Shahid Saeed, Dilshad Ahmed, Malik Qayyum, Khursheed Awan, Salma Bibi and other political workers participated in the rally in large numbers.
Party-workers held placards and chanted slogans in favour of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, while condemning the government for the current wave of conspiracies hatched against the judiciary.
They vowed to continue their struggle for the judiciary.
