Provincial Minister for Education, Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq, said that a degree college will be built in Sobho Dero on the directives of the Chief Minister Sindh in order to provide better facilities of education to the students at their door steps. This he said while presiding over a meeting of Education Department here at his office on Wednesday.
The Minister said that admissions would be given to the students in first year in newly established 23 colleges and classes would be started in the evening shift. For the purpose necessary funds, furniture and other materials should be provided to these colleges, he further instructed.
Pir Mazhar directed Secretary Education that every effort be made to start classes in newly established colleges and that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
He added that on-going construction works at these colleges should be completed before time and no hindrance would be accepted. The Minister said that SNE for these colleges had been approved.
He said that it was the prime duty of the Education Department to spread education in the province especially among female students of remote areas. Pir Mazhar warned ghost teachers to resume their duties, because these ghost teachers were the worst enemy of education and the future of children. Secretary Education Riaz Memon, Director Colleges Ansar Nasir, Director School Niaz Laghari, Additional Secretary Ashfaque Qadri and other officers were also present on the occasion.
