At least 30 militants were killed and several others injured in fierce clashes with security forces here on Saturday.
According to details, the security forces conducted search operations in different areas of Khyber Agency including Tirah valley. The militants present in various areas of the troubled agency offered resistance and attacked security forces which led to clashes.
In security forces retaliatory action more than two dozen militants were killed and scores of others left injured.
Another five militants were also killed in the area in clashes with Aman Laskhar.
It should be mentioned that security forces operation against anti-state militants including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Khyber Agency has been underway since 2008.
During clashes and security forces bombing hundreds of militants have been killed while dozens of security forces personnel were also martyred.
Overall, more than 35,000 people, including military personnel have lost their lives during the war against terrorism in the country.
