Two women and a girl became victims of acid attacks in Faisalabad and Abbottabad districts on Thursday. In the first incident, unknown motorcyclists threw acid on a woman and a girl in Islamnagar area of Faisalabad, due to which both the victims received severe burn injuries. Both the victims were shifted to Allied Hospital by Rescue 1122 personnel. According to sources, 60 percent body of the woman victim had been burnt in the attack. In a separate incident in Abbottabad, a man threw acid on the wife of his friend. The woman sustained severe burn injuries and was shifted to hospital. However, the cause of the attack could not be ascertained. Police have registered cases and initiated investigations.
