At least three persons were killed and several others wounded in separate incidents of target killing in various localities of Karachi on Tuesday.
According to police, unknown gunmen shot dead one person identified as Niaz, 35, in Sohrab Goth area. In another firing incident near Maripur truck terminal, a man identified as Salman, 30, lost his life. Body of yet another man identified as 30-year-old Salman was recovered from Neelam Point in Hawks Bay.
It should be mentioned that at least nine people including Superintendent of Police (SP) Shah Mohammad, 50, and Dr Dilshad Ghauri, 55, were killed in separate firing incidents in Korangi.
Incidents of firing continued in various parts of the city leaving more than 10 persons injured who were shifted to different hospitals of the concerned areas.
Meanwhile funeral prayers of SP Shah Mohammad and Dr Dilshad Ghauri were offered on Tuesday who were killed on Monday. Hundreds of people including family, relatives, police officials and citizens attended the funeral prayers.
