I am a resident of Lawrence Road and there is construction going on the roads around China Chowk and Shadman Chowk. Even though the construction has been going for a while now, it seems nowhere near completion. No proper diversion plan has been put into place which means that the surrounding roads are often choked and jammed. This causes inconvenience to all the travellers, especially with the rising mercury, and may be dangerous if an ambulance gets stuck in the resultant traffic.
In the recent months, a lot of road work has been undertaken in Lahore and thus the traffic is a mess. If the requisite authorities plan out the work and segment it accordingly while designating diversion routes, such jams can be avoided. It is hoped that the construction work will be speeded up and proper planning will be done before undertaking such work.
