Pakistan People’s Party Punjab President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich said the PPP movement will continue till Punjab was freed from the dictatorship of Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif.
Talking to the media before initiating a car rally to express solidarity with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani from the PPP Punjab office to Kasur on Saturday, he said the successful rallies were an expression of confidence of the people on the leadership of the president and the prime minister.
He said the spirit of the PPP workers was at its peak and thousands of workers had joined the rally to show their support for the PPP leadership. He alleged that the Punjab chief minister was involved in the corruption of billions of rupees in several programmes launched by the Punjab government in the name of development. PPP Punjab General Secretary Haji Azizur Rehman Chan, Information Secretary Raja Amir Khan, Deputy Information Secretary Iqbal Sialvi and hundreds of workers joined the car rally.
