RPO foils SHO’s bid to sell 1,600 donkey hides

Sheikhupura Regional Police Officer (RPO) range Sunday foiled Kasur police’s bid to sell 1,600 seized donkey hides worth Rs 10.5 million and suspended the Station House Officer (SHO).

SHO B-Division Police Station Kasur Malik Kafayat had seized 1,600 donkey hides during a raid conducted at the leather warehouse of former member District Council Noor Elahi and registered a case against the accused.

The corrupt SHO later made a deal to sell those seized donkey hides for Rs 10.5 million. However, on a tip off, RPO Sheikhupura range Sahibzada Shahzad Sultan carried out an operation and foiled Malik Kafayat’s bid to sell hides and suspended him.
