Mathira goes topless. Well, ‘kind of’

There are certain celebs in our own industry, who always remain in the limelight for one reason or another. While Veena Malik in the news for her lead role in the remake of ‘The Dirty Picture’, her competitor, Mathira is not far behind. The VJ who gained attention for her television show, has also been called the ‘Paris Hilton of Paksitan’. Her most recent stunt came in the shape of a new photoshoot for a Pakistani magazine in which the bold model posed naked in a pose strikingly similar to one Veena Malik struck for her FHM shoot. However, unlike Veena who defended herself by saying her nude photos had been morphed, but being the blunt lass that Mathira is, she said: “Yes I have gone topless-kind of.” Mathira was previously in the news for a wardrobe malfunction at the Pakistan Fashion Week 2012. Many industry watchers said Mathira intentionally dropped her top during the runway show as a part of a ‘pre-planned stunt’. The model-turned host also posed nude for a Valentine’s Day photoshoot for the cover page of Pakistani fashion magazine ‘Fashion Diet Fortnightly’ together with male model Waqas Pathan. Her actions were criticised by many who said she had done so to help the ratings of her new television show that were slipping amidst all the competition.
