A man, troubled by persistent poverty committed suicide over domestic issues late Wednesday night.
According to details, Ghulam Fareed, aged 26, a resident of Mughalpura, was facing problems in providing for his family. He attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself with a pistol and was critically injured. He was rushed to hospital but could not survive. The deceased was a pickup driver and the father of two children. Meanwhile a 60-year woman, Hinza, who had been injured when she resisted a robbery attempt at a house in the Northern Cantonment Officer’s Colony, succumbed to her injuries in Services Hospital.
