Rehman Malik’s strategy

When ammunition finishes, they say, use crackers to scare the enemy. Rehman Malik is ardently following this strategy. In his typical ways and styles, he came up with loans taken by Sharifs and even repaid back. But he failed to make any bombshell, despite all his efforts.

We have grave issues like Seraiki Suba, its demarcation, democracy, tenure of 5 years, constitutional steps, writing letter to Swiss banks, age-old Mehran Scandal, one-man show of Memogate, continuation of this PM or another, etc and Karachi is ransacked by, I heard, 8 miscreants.

Trade with India has made banana price go to 240 per dozen and potatoes disappeared from the market. The country, as a whole, is already on life machine hardly breathing. This reminds me of what I read in history. When the kingdom of Oudh was being invaded by British forces in 17th century as a final blow to the then India, courtiers in famous ‘darbar’ were in hot debate whether British ‘sena’ (army) was feminine or masculine in correct Urdu language.
