Lahore railway station blast is a major blow to the Pakistani government and law enforcement agencies. People had moved from air to train due to the recent Bhoja tragedy and subsequent near misses by Shaheen airlines. Now even the trains are risky.
The recent incident had killed innocent civilians. The blast site and platform 2 is the space for Awami Express which is mostly used by poor of Pakistan, even they are not spared with these terror acts. It seems that all our transport networks are being deliberately targeted. SSP Railways Police has said that security at the station was infallible and satisfactory, despite the fact that there were 16 to 17 CCTV cameras installed at the station and all of them were inactive. Satisfactory security outcomes are like this? It is high time our security should be taken seriously.
