Public transport

Public transportation all over the world is seen as a safe and economic way to move around. However, the story changes when it comes to Pakistan as although most of the buses have now converted to CNG, the fare is still charged for diesel. Also the installed CNG kits are very dangerous and are virtually time-bombs ready for explosions. CNG kits are not the only problem. These buses are decades old with uncomfortable restructured seats and rusted window panes and alarmingly have no speedometer, temperature reader or fuel indicator. These buses continue to cruise the streets without headlights or indicators and endanger the lives of not only the people inside them, but also people travelling in their own cars.

The officials in government need to inspect these buses on an urgent basis as although we know that life cannot be guaranteed, what we do know is prevention is better than cure.
