The practice of using secret funds for unspecified purposes is back in limelight in Supreme Court as the DG IB filed a reply in the court about the alleged use of secret funds to help away political persuasions in Punjab following the imposition of governor’s rule in the province in 2009.
What is the purpose of secret funds in this day and age? Every fund’s detail should be debated in the parliament. The parliamentarians should do away all illegally used funds. The IB should do its job and should not interfere in politics or use the nation’s money illegally. This money should be spent on masses for education, health and sectors.
