It feels like the government wants to make sure that the life of citizens is endangered everywhere they go, whatever they do. It’s almost like security is a privilege offered to the ministers and VIPs only.
The almost plane crash on Sunday is raising many questions on air travelling security in Pakistan. With the unreliable train schedule, air travel was the most convenient and reliable option for people who have to travel often. There have been two serious crashes in the last two years, leaving no survivors and the bumpy landing of another flight in Karachi is now making people fearful of travelling at all.
It’s time that the Civil Aviation Authority took notice of these crashes and conducted a proper investigation to dig out the causes. Whether they’re inexperienced pilots or faulty parts, some action must be taken to eliminate the problem and ensure the safety of travellers.
