I would like to express my grief over the loss of the precious lives due to a plane crash in Koral near Islamabad. I am not a professional man to give technical views on the cause of the incident, but one thing should at least be admitted that in Pakistan each and every department and state organ is corrupt, same is the case with the airline companies like Air Blue, Bhoja Airlines and many other private airlines operating their services in Pakistan, having expired and unauthorised planes that are declared unfit by the international airlines but our private airline companies purchase them at cheapest rate. But sir, human lives are much more precious than anything else.
What happened to Air Blue and now Bhoja plane crash? Although the government has announced a judicial inquiry into this tragic incident but like all the inquiries in the past the fate of this inquiry will be same: the real culprits are those who issue license to these companies who are actually unfit for flying with their old and expired planes.
I would like to request before the government that in order to stop this type of accidents in future our Civil Aviation control system should open its eyes and at least should ensure a proper check up of planes before flying. The other day, in Karachi tyres of a plane of Shaheen airlines burst while it was landing at Karachi airport and another incident of fuel leakage from a Shaheen airlines plane were also reported. What is this? This is simply an act of ignorance and it is a crime of the concerned authorities who let the planes fly without checking their fitness.
I would like to appeal before our government that instead of issuing licenses to new airline companies, the existing airline companies should be made accountable and they should be asked to ensure fitness of their planes before flying and a flying fitness check up of pilots should also be conducted because nothing is more important than the precious human lives.
