I feel for PM Gilani

You are indeed a man with steel nerves, Mr Yousaf Raza Gilani. During the day as Prime Minister of the country, you have your table full of problems. You have some placements made about which you are kept in dark.

You have to call your allies of the government to listen to their latest requests. You have to preside over the cabinet meeting with six-point agenda, all related to economic disorder like price-hike and unemployment issues. You have to give time to some lawyers waiting for NRO, Memogate, contempt case dates and so many more issues resting in SC. You have to give time to the US ambassador.

You have to be briefed on hundreds of issues on which you have to face media and cameras. You have Nargis Sethi walk in and out seeking some time for her priorities. You asked the personal staff for a cup of tea, which came in three or four times and went cold.

In other words, you were like a computer machine switching on and off on issues of several nature and seriousness. At 8 pm you decided to call it a day and retire back home and have a bite.

At home, your wife comes up with tens of problems, including Musa Gilani. The grandchildren assemble around you but you have no time enjoy their company. You have to comment on all of these problems narrated by your wife or else she starts throwing tantrums.

You did not have dinner too. Then you retire to your bed room. The bed is as soft as it can be but you can’t sleep. You gulp some sleeping tablets and go off to forced sleep. Another day dawns and, as usual, the same routine starts. This day is even worse than yesterday; the president has summoned you first thing in the morning.

Mr Gilani, is this premiership worth the salt? Were you not better off in jail than this? At least, you were a political prisoner in jail. Sir, I pity you.

  1. Huh! You missed one Point Mirza Sahib! the PM has to think many a times to flout Supreme court, to riducle Peons, to mock common man, to tell media that his father and his grandfather and grand grand fatehr, all were Parliamentarians, He has to devise tactics to hush up media for good deeds of his sons……
