Chairman Punjab Examination Commission issued directives for revision of result of primary and middle class examination and rechecking of papers following protest demonstrations by the students. He directed that all the students who wanted rechecking of their papers should file their relevant documents and objections till April 15 with the concerned office. About 70 percent teachers and students had protested against manipulation in results and papers in the primary and middle examination results.
They were of the view that as per Punjab Education department policy the students who would obtain 25 percent marks would be passed but in this examination the students who got over 30 percent marks were failed.
